'Wrong Wine' Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG Dirupi 2018

Vino Sbagliato Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG is an elegant and structured red wine from the Dirupi winery. The label is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Chiavennasca grapes, the local variety of Nebbiolo. In the Chioso area, about 600 meters above sea level, there are the owned vineyards. Thanks to the morainic and sandy composition of the soil, the grapes acquire a remarkable finesse. Once the selection with manual harvesting is completed, the grapes are left to dry in the dedicated fruit cellars. At the end of this important step, the grapes are carefully pressed. Then follows the three-week fermentation in stainless steel, during which the maceration also takes place. The refinement phase takes place inside precious oak barrels, where the wine rests for at least one year. By virtue of its important structure, Vino Sbagliato Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG lends itself to long evolutions of over ten years.
