Pol Roger's Champagne Brut 'Vintage' represents one of the best examples of classic French bubbles. According to the blend that traditionally characterizes the French maison, this champagne is made up of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, vines classically devoted to sparkling wine with the champenoise method. The vineyards on which they are grown are located in the Montagne de Reims and in the Côte des Blancs. After careful selection during the harvest, the bunches are pressed and the resulting must is cold decanted. Fermentation takes place exclusively in steel tanks. At the end the two musts, vinified separately by type of vine, are blended and the second fermentation in the bottle begins, which is subjected to manual remouage for over eight years. Champagne Brut 'Vintage' is perfect when enjoyed young, but boasts a good ability to age. Once left to rest in the cellar, it can also evolve for a few years.
