'Annamaria Clementi' Franciacorta Rosé Extra Brut Riserva Ca' del Bosco 2013 Boxed

Prestige and patience. Franciacorta Rosé Riserva Annamaria Clementi is one of the most prestigious labels in Italian sparkling wine, dedicated to the founder of the cellar, which expresses the personality and richness of the best Pinot Noir, in a robe of wonderful harmony and elegance. It takes about 100 months (8 years) to make it like this. Born in the heart of the splendid hilly area of Franciacorta, south of Lake Iseo, from one of the symbol cellars of the DOCG. It is produced with pure Pinot Noir. The grapes come from only 3 historic vineyards which are over 30 years old and which over time have proven to produce exceptional grapes. After the manual harvest, all the winemaking phases take place in small oak barrels. The fermentation processes alone, the malolactic fermentation and the aging in cask of the base wines, last a total of 8 months. Only Pinot Noir from the best casks will be part of the final blend. Once bottled for the second fermentation, the wine rests on the lees for a minimum of 8 years. The disgorgement takes place in the absence of oxygen to avoid oxidative shocks and therefore guarantee a better longevity of the wine.

In the glass it shows an antique pink with bright reflections. The perlage is of extraordinary finesse and persistence. The refinement of the bouquet recalls floral notes, aromas of small berries, aromas of pastry and candied fruit and dried fruit. The sip gives harmony, elegance and complexity, with a perfect olfactory correspondence and an intriguing aromatic persistence. A Rosé of rare balance and finesse. Extraordinary.
