'Three Faces' Spumante Brut Breganze DOC Maculan

The Spumante Brut Breganze DOC Tre Volti from the Maculan winery is obtained exclusively using fine Chardonnay grapes. The latter are harvested from the vineyards located in the heart of the Asiago plateau, where the volcanic and tuffaceous structure of the soil, combined with the very mild climate, ensures an excellent quality production. The activity of this winery has been handed down for 3 generations during which the craftsmanship in grape processing has been preserved by combining it with new technological discoveries. The production of Spumante Brut Breganze DOC Tre Volti is treated in detail. The harvest begins only when the bunches have reached the right sugar content and after a short fermentation on the skins, the second fermentation takes place with the Classic Method. Fermentation takes place for 70% in steel tanks and 30% in French oak barriques before being left to rest for at least 18 months on the lees. It has a brilliant straw yellow color and clear green reflections, with a minute and persistent perlage. The nose reveals elegant aromas of crusty bread, ripe fruit with hints of peach and a fresh hint of yoghurt. On the palate it is well balanced, with a persistent and very pleasant citrus freshness as well as a nice long finish. In this way it will be possible to drink a fine and balanced sparkling wine, with a persistent foam, perfect as an aperitif.
