'Vigna Fracia' Valtellina Superiore Valgella DOGC Nino Negri 2018

Vigna Fracia Valtellina Superiore Valgella DOCG is an elegant and full-bodied red wine, made by the Nino Negri winery. It is obtained from the vinification of only Nebbiolo grapes, a dark berried variety locally known as Chiavennasca. The plots are located in an alpine valley where cold breezes blow and temperatures are very low. These conditions lead the grapes to ripen according to a longer vegetative cycle. The harvest phase involves the careful selection of the bunches for transport to the cellar. Here the grapes are destemmed, gently pressed and then left to ferment in steel at a controlled temperature. The refinement involves a one-year rest in large wooden barrels and a further passage of 18 months in the bottle. Perfect right from the start, Vigna Fracia Valtellina Superiore Valgella DOCG can reserve pleasant surprises even after careful storage in the cellar for 5-6 years.
