Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Shiraz Mataro Bin 2 from Penfolds winery is among the most representative wines of the territory of origin, that is the red soils of Marananga, near the Barossa Valley, in the southern part of Australia. This region is famous for the production of quality wines, thanks to the terroir rich in iron and the very hot and dry climate which guarantees the right ripening of the grapes, giving particular organoleptic qualities. Specifically, this Shiraz Mataro Bin 2 comes from the assembly of Syrah (82%) and Mataro (18%), whose characteristic is that of coming from the vines present in the various vineyards owned by Penfolds, located in McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley , Langhorne Creek and Wrattonbully, each of which produces grapes with different characteristics. The harvest is carried out by hand using traditional methods, the fermentation takes place in steel and the refinement is done in oak barrels for at least 12 months, at the end of which it is bottled where the maturation continues. It is a still red, full-bodied and with an intense colour, still young, but already ready and fragrant in its richness of aromas and flavours. Ideal for important dishes, but also for moments of conviviality.
