'Blanc des Millenaires' Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Charles Heidsieck 2006

Blanc des Millenaires Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs is made by the Charles Heidsieck winery, a historic production reality in the Reims area. The label is the result of the vinification and sparkling process of only Chardonnay grapes. The owned vineyards boast ideal conditions, as they exploit the characteristics of a very suitable terroir. The mineral composition of the chalky soils and the microclimate give a marked finesse to the berries. Once fully ripe, the best bunches are selected by hand with great care. In the cellar the grapes are left to ferment spontaneously inside wooden barrels. As required by the Champenoise Method, the second fermentation in the bottle allows the wine to age for at least 10 years on the fine lees. The disgorgement is followed by the addition of a little liqueur de tirage. Blanc des Millenaires Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs can reserve pleasant surprises after a further evolution of over 10 years.
