'The Artist' Champagne Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru David Leclapart 2010

Champagne L'Artiste Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru is produced by David Leclapart , a vigneron who stands out for the unconventional style of his production. It is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Chardonnay grapes, a variety that finds the basis for expressing itself with great finesse on the soils rich in silt, clay and limestone of the vineyards, south of Reims. The vines are cultivated according to biodynamic principles, which are inspired by a concept of harmony with natural rhythms. The harvest involves a meticulous selection of the ripest bunches, which are then transported to the cellar. Here the first fermentation of the grapes involves the use of both steel tanks and wooden vats. The refinement coincides with the refermentation in the bottle typical of the Champenoise Method which lasts 5 years and ends with the disgorgement and the addition of small percentages of dosing liquid. Champagne L'Artiste Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru is excellent for immediate consumption, but also for careful storage in the cellar for up to 2-3 years.
