'Palazzo Lana Extreme' Franciacorta Extra Brut Riserva Berlucchi 2011 in Wooden Box

Berlucchi 's Franciacorta Extra Brut Riserva Palazzo Lana Extreme is a blanc de noir, it is in fact obtained from 100% Pinot Noir grapes that come from two different vineyards located in the heart of Franciacorta: Quindicipiò and Brolo. The soils are morainic in nature, rich in sediments dating back to ancient glaciations and the vines enjoy optimal climatic conditions for vegetative development, thanks to the proximity of Lake Iseo which, thanks to its influence, guarantees good temperature ranges and a mild climate. The vinification involves soft pressing to obtain the must which carries out the first fermentation in steel, subsequently, some lots are left to refine in barriques for 6 months. During the following spring, the base wine is made sparkling with the classic method, bottled for the second fermentation where it will rest for 9 years on the lees. After the disgorgement, a further refinement of 6 months follows. Franciacorta Extra Brut Riserva Palazzo Lana Extreme is a ready wine, but its great longevity allows it to evolve even for a few years in the cellar.
